Ajman, United Arab Emirates: More than 80 players representing 13 nations will participate in this week’s 43rd Men’s and 2nd Senior Pan Arab Golf Championship.
To be staged at Al Zorah Golf & Yacht Club from November 20-22, the championship is hosted by the Emirates Golf Federation (EGF) in conjunction with the Arab Golf Federation.
“We are proud to welcome the region’s best golfers to Al Zorah Golf Club for the 2024 Pan Arab Men’s and Seniors Championship,” said General Abdullah Al-hashmi, Vice Chairman of the Emirates Golf Federation and a Board member of the Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation.
“The UAE has a fantastic tradition of hosting world-class golf tournaments, and this championship adds to that legacy. We are excited to provide a platform where Arab nations come together in the spirit of competition and camaraderie.
“This sport continues to grow in popularity across the Arab nations, and hosting prestigious events like this plays a pivotal role in inspiring the next generation of players while strengthening the UAE’s position as a leading golfing destination in the region,” he added.
Flying the flag for the UAE team in the Senior Division will be Saeed Malik, Salem Dasmal and Jamal bin Marghoob. In addition, General Abdullah and Mohammed Darwish will be competing in the Individual Category.
For the Men’s Team, Captain Ahmad Skaik, Sam Mullane, Jonathan Selvaraj and Rayan Ahmed will be teeing it up for the UAE.
The Men’s Division consists of 13 countries with teams of four played over three rounds. The best three daily scores will be counted as the team aggregate.
In the Senior Division, there are teams of three playing over two rounds. The best two daily scores will be counted as the team aggregate.
