Emirates Golf Federation’s Clutch Tour Tie-Up

Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Golfers from the United Arab Emirates will benefit from an agreement between the Emirates Golf Federation (EGF) and the Clutch Tour.

Billing itself as ‘Europe’s leading development Tour’, the Clutch Tour is the Official Satellite Tour to the Hotel Planner and DP World Tour.

As part of its tie-up with the Clutch Tour, the EGF receives 20 invitations to each event that will go to support the UAE National Team, the Emirates PGA, and UAE Golf Academies, providing a platform for elite amateur and professional golfers.

In addition, the EGF is collaborating with regional and international federations to continue to build relations and partnerships throughout the world of golf.

General Abdullah Al Hashmi, Vice-Chairman of the EGF, said: “At the Emirates Golf Federation, we believe the Clutch Tour plays a pivotal role in elevating both professional and amateur golf in the UAE and the wider region.

“While other parts of the world face seasonal challenges with weather and course availability, the UAE offers year-round, world-class conditions, making it the ideal destination for the Clutch Tour to both launch and conclude its season.

“What sets the Clutch Tour apart is its commitment to inclusivity, with opportunities for female golfers at every event held in the UAE, something no other professional Tour in the GCC currently offers.

“This aligns with our broader vision to establish the UAE as a leader in accessible, diverse, and progressive golf development. We look forward to seeing the Tour’s continued growth and impact in the region.”

Last week, the Al Ain Equestrian Shooting & Golf Club played host to the Clutch Tour’s first event of the 2025 season featuring a 154-strong field of professionals and amateurs.

Sanctioned by the EGF, it was the first of three championships to be held in the UAE and was won by Callum Farr with a 54-hole aggregate of 12-under-par.

This week, the Clutch Tour is at La Vie in Oman to be followed by another tournament at Al Mouj Golf in the Sultanate next week.

The final two events for the 2025 Tour will take place at Al Zorah Golf Club (October 14-16) and the Tour Championship at Al Hamra Golf Club (October 21-23).

All Clutch Tour events offer Official Golf World Ranking and World Amateur Golf Ranking points.
