Phuket, Thailand: The ANNIKA Invitational Asia for junior girls is a new addition to the region’s golfing calendar for 2025.

The inaugural edition of the 54-hole stroke play tournament will take place at Blue Canyon Country Club in Phuket from April 23-25.

Organisers said it will bring together 78 of the most promising junior players from across Asia as well as Australia and New Zealand.

As part of The ANNIKA Foundation’s mission to develop, empower and advance young women around the world through golf and in life, the event will provide an opportunity for participants to hone their skills in a highly competitive environment.

The ANNIKA Foundation is a charitable organisation founded by Hall of Fame golfer Annika Sörenstam.

As the latest addition to the ANNIKA Foundation’s Pathway Series, the top three finishers will earn an invitation to the 2026 Hilton Grand Vacations ANNIKA Invitational.

Sörenstam said: “We are incredibly excited to host this event in Thailand and give these talented young golfers the chance to showcase their abilities on a global stage.

“The emerging golf talent from Asia and Australasia is truly astonishing, and we’re committed to providing the resources, education and competitive opportunities needed to help the top junior girls in the region reach their full potential.”

The tournament will not only offer top-level competition on an elite course, it also will feature educational components aimed at helping participants grow both as athletes and individuals. These initiatives can include leadership seminars, educational sessions and skill development clinics.

“Blue Canyon Country Club is thrilled to partner with The ANNIKA Foundation to host ANNIKA Invitational Asia over the next three years,” said Praphant Asava-aree, Chairman of Blue Canyon Country Club.

“The Canyon Course will serve as a terrific test for the top junior girls in the region. We’re excited to see these young athletes showcase their talent on our course,” he added.
