Singapore: The Singapore Golf Association (SGA) has been lauded for its accomplishments in excellent corporate governance for the second consecutive year at the 12th edition of the Charity Transparency Award.
An initiative of the Charity Council, the Charity Transparency Award (CTA) and Charity Governance Awards (CGA) were launched in 2012 to promote good transparency and governance in the charity sector.
In the awards ceremony held at the ParkRoyal Collection Marina Bay, the SGA was among 109 organisations honoured for best corporate practices.
Receiving the award from Desmond Chin, Commissioner of Charities, Joshua Ho, General Manager of SGA. said: “This is the second consecutive year where we have received the Charity Transparency Award.
“It underlines the sound corporate governance at the SGA. We’ll continue to adopt this practice with guidance from the SGA Executive Board, Governing Council and Sub-Committee members.”
